How I spent my weekend: the short version

I have met some wonderful people in the blogosphere, and this weekend I visited with some of my favorites. In the wee hours of Saturday morning, I headed up the Jersey Turnpike, stopping in New York City to pick up Daryl and then continuing on to Connecticut. We were headed to Lauren’s place to spend the weekend and visit with her and Annie, who lives nearby.

It’s late as I write this and I’ve much to do before I sleep, but I wanted to share a few photos with you.

We were awed by a beautiful church.

And went shopping. I think Lauren fell in love with something here.

And we met the magical Dora who’s dressed for the season. I hope George isn’t jealous because I think Dora’s a delight.

We lunched. And brunched. And picked up sushi for dinner.

We took walks, and talked. But best of all, we laughed. A lot.

And it was just what I needed.

TSannie, Lauren, Daryl, and a completely horrid photo of me. Everyone else looks great, so please ignore that person on the right. Thank you.

Hope your weekend was relaxing. I’m off to unpack . . .

Ooh, looks like a fun weekend. Isn't Dora a hoot of a pup? Just don't touch her ears!

Glad you had a good time. And you look just a lovely as the other ladies.

I may have had to have a pair of those boots too. Not to wear for heaven sakes.... just to look at! GAH... so pretty. And stop being so hard on yourself. I'd be your friend any old day so shut up about your looks.

Kate, I have to just tell you- SHUT UP! I know it's typical woman to complain about how she looks and never be satisfied but you're a beautiful woman, just like the other three next to you! You are not alike which is wonderful- your beauty is unique and comes from within which shines brightly on the outside..I wish people could see themselves as others see them..
Sorry, didn't mean to be harsh, but you're lovely as well as your blog friends...you look like you've been friends for a long time! Glad you had such a great weekend together, laughter is a beautiful thing!

Hi Kate,

I personally feel that you all look terrific and it sounds like a great weekend. I miss all my girlfriends from Maryland so much and I haven't made any friends here in Texas yet. It's just not the same. Anyway, I am getting off track. I love the pictures of the church, it reminds me of the church I grew up in. Sounds like a great weekend!!!! lucky girl.
