George wants to tell you something

And I think he really means it.

I mean, look how sincere he is.

DSC_0098 copy 2

My friend, Char at Ramblins posted about these free holiday textures available at Joy St. Claire’s blog. And I had to try them right away. They’re really fun. Thanks for the heads up, Char.

And Joy, these are beautiful.

George has a vet checkup early tomorrow morning, so wish him luck.

Tomorrow night is the faculty holiday party and the dish I’m taking is the same vegetable casserole I made for Thanksgiving. I plan on posting about it because the taste was surprisingly good. Well, surprising because not everyone likes Brussels sprouts and it’s the main ingredient. But when it was served at Thanksgiving, everyone who swore they didn’t like the miniature cabbage treat said it was great. And now I love Brussels sprouts.

Please don’t tell the rutabagas. I can’t have them jealous.

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

Ah-hem, please tell CG to make haste on posting that sprout recipe, tho, as those little cabbage-heads are a favorite 'round these digs. Even our resident dawg, Isla, loves them. Are you a brussels man yerself?

(very nice work on the texture, CG!)

George is beautiful...or should I say 'handsome'. Really, I'm not being prejudiced, I think he is beautiful. And his eyes just melt my heart! If I ever get another puppy, I want one who looks like George, acts like George, and loves like George!

Here's hoping that you are having a wonderful holiday season filled with good friends, good food, good wine, and good everything!!!

Jeanne PS: Is that snow on the ground???

Thanks, all.

Merry Christmas to George and to you all, too. The casserole sounds good but I like Brussels sprouts. I have an intense dislike for English or green peas, but I have a recipe for guacamole that is made with peas and tastes like it was made with avocados. If I had been told before that it was made with peas I wouldn't have ever tried it. Goes to show me that I ought to be a little more adventurous in tasting new things.\

George will do great with his vet check tomorrow. I just know it.
