The beauty of the morning

Today when I came home, one of the things that my husband told me was that there were photos on the computer for me to see. He'd begun taking pictures this morning while I was getting ready for work. And then he continued taking pictures all day long.

He said something odd, though. He told me that he was sorry he kept using my camera.

And I said, "Darling, don't you know that love means never having to say you're sorry?"

Nah. I didn't say that. I mean, seriously, can you hear me saying that?

I don't think so.

What I said to him was that I didn't mind at all if he wanted to use the camera. Use it all you want, I told him. I love your pictures!

So after I got dinner started, I sat down here with the laptop and looked at all of his pictures. And I fell in love with the few I posted here. He took them in the early morning light as the moon was setting.

I think they're really beautiful. And there's no need for apologies of any kind.

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

Please tell your husband that we're not sorry - we love his pictures too.

p.s. the love comment was from "Love Story." Ali McGraw said it to Ryan ONeal. But I know that you know that. Do you remember that Mom took us to that movies when we were teenagers?

You're right they're gorgeous. My hubby and I share a camera too. It's become quite a competition for who can get the better shot.
Have a great weekend.

He may need his own etsy shop before you know it;) Every time I see a shot of that house, I think George Washington. Weird, huh?

Both of you take wonderful pictures! They are inspiring, as are the two of you. And thank you for visiting my site Country Girl. I appreciated it more than you know.
Cheers, and have a wonderful weekend!

Judy! My seestah! Yes, I remember mom taking us to that old movie theatre in Margate. Do you remember her taking us to see Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? You must have been 8 or 9. That was just playing the other night.

Welcome to Ralph. I love your little blog with the illustrations.

Mental P, it's because the great George Washington was here in 1777. The house was about 10 years old at the time. The addition was built in 1810.

And Lori (Anonymous), the answer is yes.

Thanks to all. I think my husband is getting better. Either it's that or my photo editing. Ha!!! And I sound like I'm in love? Love? Lord above!

Kate, the thing about looking at someone else's photos - gives you a closeness to see what they were seeing, what they thought was beautiful or unusual or funny at that moment. Something that they, thought was worth remembering. Loving your hubby's photos!

They are wonderful, and a great change from all the grey that we are seeing here. We are supposed to get some sun, maybe, hopefully.

Hello Kate: I followed you from PW's site.

These are breathtaking.

Aptly titled, "the beauty of the morning". It is rare that I am ever up early enough to see such beauty at day break. These pictures make me wistful to set my alarm, set the coffee pot and charge my camera batteries for an early morning (and cold, in Buffalo NY!) photography excursion. Kudos to your husband for taking them and to you for sharing them with us! ~carey

I tell you what. Tell you what. That quote is the bain of my existence. :) Dumbest line in a movie EVER! But your husband's photos are breath-taking. And your house should be in a storybook!!

I wish I had someone who could take pictures of the parts of the day I'm missing because I am dead asleep at that time of day. I will always, always be a night person.

Love your husband's sky views with the silhouetted trees reaching up. That setting moon quietly sitting above them is just perfect.

Photos are beautiful. Tell your hubby, two thumbs up. I wish I was a morning person. I am a sunset collector. Note my blog today. Hubby, keep the photos coming.

Kate, your husband's pictures are wonderful. You may need to put a copyright on them to keep people from stealing them. They really are outstanding.

Your husband has taken some lovely pictures! It is so nice that he has begun to share in your love of photography and take part himself!

I love that he apologized.

My husband did about the same yesterday and my reaction was not the lovely of, "my dear...". It was more, "Dude, I love that you support me, share with me."

That's what it is, isn't it?

(The first is my favorite!)
